but its still a techy question.

does anyone know if there is some software out there that shows me an ID number of incoming call to my home telephone (connected to adsl) on my computer?

used to be a good free one called callwave that also worked as an answering machine when you are online (dialup). here in the states we usually use little caller ID boxes or have them built into cordless phones. nisam to video kad sam bio u hrvatskoj proslog ljeta ali ne znam.

here's a web site i found quickly but don't know how good the software is...at least it is free for 45 days

http://www.yes-tele.com/

otherwise go to download.com and search for "caller ID" and adsl

nadam se da sam ti pomagao...

plug modem into phone line. get modem manual, look for AT command to turn on display of caller ID. Ensure you are subscribed to the caller ID service if you ahve to in your area. open hyperterminal, leave running in bottom corner, ring phone, hyperterminal should display RING RING and hopefully the CLID ... it may not of course.
