Before anyone can talk kaka, I love the creators, but just that song doesnt do it for me. Actually gives me a funny feeling if I'm standing by the speakers, I grab the closest bathroom and have a go.

I quite like the Chris Liebing remixes of DK8...but it has come a bit late, the original has been played to death.

Funny story from yesterday actually just to give you an idea of how popular "Murder Was the Bass" is...

An old friend from High School whom I haven't seen in a couple years called me randomly yesterday. He goes, "Dude...I heard this song last night man when I was all stoned. It's all stripped down with that beat and all the sudden this ****in' bass line kicks in man! It was nuts! Then there was this part where it was all quiet and the bass kicked back in. What is that track?"

This kid is a college frat boy/sports freak (but actually cool at heart, odd huh?) and he knew I was "into that techno shit" so he called me. I pointed him to a stream of DK8 and he said that was the track. So there you have it, Dahlback even has the frat boys going with this one.

i thought his dk8 remix was only a bootleg he made for his own use on FS

sad this kind of tracks are released .. they are kewl to lsiten in parties where chris is booked, but not to listen in each dj set (ie 3 or 4 times a nite)

Well I have to say when I heard this first I thought it was brilliant, but within a few months it was getting seriously milked and became stale. Despite having no great desire to hear it anymore I still think both sides are outstanding tunes. It did fit into the DK scheme of things alright, "Sex" is definitely another killer too...

Billy Nasty played DK8 last week here in Holland. On the same day I was disappointed by Surgeon and missed Serect Cinema. hoho. The dancefloor kinda got going after DK8 tho. So it works. Still.
