    Default Glenn, Glenn, Glenn.......

Read this in an interview recently.

But do you have any interest for the US?

I went to play in New York last November, it was okay, quite a hard crowd to move due to their roots of R&B, Hip hop and funkier stuff. But still, even you have some classic techno producers like Mills and Beltram, the harder stuff is seem to be a new phenomenon for them.

Dude I really hope you don't believe this generalization in your heart man.

As far as the November show was concerned I would think it was such a hard crowd to move for a few reasons, one of the main ones being the fact that for the most part a lot of supporters didnt know the address of the relocation till a day before hand. The daylight loft was supposed to be the ultimate venue for you and wunsch to play at. and in my opinion would have reflected the promoters company in a more professional light. There were quite the bit of technical difficulties that evening. I dont think it has to do with taste in techno, the only reason ny's scene is the way it is, is because its run by scenesters who have an elitist approach that if they dont know you from high school or you dont sell records out by the bunch at satellite they dont know you exist. I will say there is an accute sense of ignorance to the harder stuff in New York yes. But if you would have been booked for arc or limelight i believe your turnout would have rivaled one of jeff mills crowd.
But there are a few that still keep it real as f*ck, Function, Wild, etc...........

I would nay worry about it. Some DJ's have bad experiences and say stuff. Jeff Mills refused to play in Dublin (and the uk?) for 8 years. Someone coaxed him back last year and he's being annoying the **** out of us since with the amount of return gigs he has done.

Does NY have a hefty crowd?

Depends on the difference between a punter and an educated listener.

i must say i was disapointed withe the nyc gig, but like you said wrong location, which i believe is a major part to the make or break of a party, i think the promters were bent over and done from the rear by the people who owned that location, they knew there desperation and rumour has it took more money on the night to let it go ahead, location sucked beyond belief but what do you do, i know nyc has more to offer, i look forward to a return.

There hasn't been much outa the PR, SUB, TEMP, COM and HR labels for ages, how come?

Is there too much techno flooding the market at the moment or something similar to that effect?

I want to hear what Anxious would do to a punish release, I would believe that would be fresh.

actually sorry to say this but i've always found ny a bitch to play.
you may say "that's because you're rubbish"
    and you'd probably be right.
but seriously there's always a little hardcore of fans
who are loving it. but never enough to really keep the floor rockin
and get that beat going through everyone ( know what i mean???)
attendances have generally been good but the gigs have always been a bit of a let down.
i must mention however one thing i did last year in a loft which was just outside manhattan ( literally the other and of one of the bridges) which was pretty cool. and my favorite time was the tronic night of which i have some photo's and they really reflect the night, a group of people dancing around in a circle everyone smiling , proper avin it!. got it on my desktop and it always makes me grin.
    love your mum
