very nice machine with good sounds, great possibilities (for non-professional use) for a great price!
Great sounds on it AMAZING in fACT.
imo it CAN be used for professional work IF ya have a computer to transfer the sounds into I.E logic or cubase and ya can master the sounds to releaseable quality.
Part of my kit is a Yahama rs7000.
Its the RMX's big bro, has a few more things on it and good sounds but its not realy doing the job.
It does have the possibilys of doing the job I just find recording notes on it an absolute BITCH
Other than thats its good m8 and a worthwhile purchase.
wrong section

The RM1x has horrible sounds, but the sequencer is excellent. Sequencing wise I can do almost anything I could do on a computer. They're not bad if you buy one second hand.

I checked out the Rolland MC307 last week. Nice machine, sounds ok too, although I wonder whether they are really worth their high price tags?
no,they dont sound brilliant in my opinion,Originally Posted by killarava2day

I have this machine about 4 years... It's very good. Strong sequencer, easy to operate and sounds good.Originally Posted by Paul@Maxx
I discover every day new tricks and functions of Rm1x ;-) [maybe beacuse i never read manuals ;-D]. RM1x is an very good option for those, who want to play live.
Sorry for poor english :-)
rm1x = great sequencer if u dont use onboard sounds and efx. If you do it stutters when u switch "styles" (groups of patterns)
The sounds can also be tweaked up and used very well if u record them into your audio+midi sequencer software and work it a bit.
it has the same sequencing block as a QY700 i think.
get a RM1X & a AKAI S2000... poormans RS7000 for half the price & more outs

rm1x and a4000 is a much better option, and not much more expensive. This combo is more powerful than an rs7000 and very cheap.
More powerful than a rs7000?
Is that possbile ;)
yes.
A4000's are far more flexible and better samplers than whats inside the rs7000 and they are cheap now.
A5000 even... been told its even better.
but u see what i'm gettin at. an RS7000 or MC909 is about a grand & all-in-one. so if u want to upgrade your kinda stuck. where as with the RM1X & sampler option, you can change either. even intoduce a small rack or module like an AN200 desktop synth or the like. or just change sampler or the RM1X.

I use the have an Rm1x, I sold it a couple of months ago, it was a good machine, great for live sequencing, the sounds are ok, not the greatest. It's a good machine to learn on, and especially dope for live gigs, w/ a lot of hardware.

still going for 250 like brand new if it turns out anyone is looking for one :)
Sequence is coming. It's going throughout your imagination. It takes you where you've been before. A higher state of mind. Yeah, you remember the early times. Now were trying to take you again. In the deepest seas of your consciousness.....Time never stops
