the first track is great, this has got a real groove to it, top stuff.

the second track doesnt really appeal to me, it's just a persoanl thing, i could'nt get into it.

the third track is quite nice, but it sounds a little spongy, it could be the decay is too long on the kick's or it could be the compression (lack of my knowledge is showing here for me )

the fourth one again isnt really something i would normally listen to, technically though, i found the bassline was a little overpowering

the 5th track is another good one, i especially liked the synth that come's in at the end
Life is "trying things to see if they work"

Finally getting around to updating my site

this is not stuff i'd play in a DJ set at the mo, but i'm really see something very unique in this. i think detfella should be proud of himself. but for me, his whole sound needs to be taken to the 'next' level. i'm thinking a few of the sounds need to be 'bigger' ie eq'd and pushed out.

i'm such a bastardo eh sorry det, but that's all personal and i hope you don't mind the critique :)

5 tracks at once Need to post here...

    1st.

I like the start, it’s almost like its dub influenced. The use of the delay is excellent!! Mixdowns probably the best out of the 5

    2nd.

Very impressive rhythm, it works well. Some of the drums could do with a little phattening I think. The bass sounds a little dull but the kicks nice.

    3rd

I think this gets a little crowded with the mid drums at places. Those vocals are a bit 2 unlimited :P

    4th

I think theres too much bass on this one. Once the offbeat vocal sounds in it gets trippy as **** I like some of the synth noises. The 303 squelchy synth aint my cuppa.

    5th

This one appeals to me a lot. I love the clapping type sounds (what are they) the vocals are great too. Edits are cool. I think that synth is nuts (bit loud, at one point I thought it was going to blow my speakers up!!!)! It ends a bit abrupt. Where’s the outro? I want to remix it :P

    Overall

I like them, you take risks with your tracks and it makes them sound unique. Your mixdowns do need a fair bit of work tho. I think it’s mainly the eq (more cutting and boosting) also at times it sounds a little crowded. Perhaps you have a lot of reverb in and amongst, try replacing it with short delays. Needs more clarity. Some of your basses sounded a little simple. Like it was 1 note of bass. Try something else heh. Also the top end could do with a boost on some of your hats to make them cut thro more and add a bit of clarity to it, perhaps if you did this would balance out with the mids more and make it sound right.

Btw if you’re doing all this using audio without midi (like you said) it makes it even more impressive. Keep them coming mate
