    Default Techno...

has no 'k' in it, i.e. it's not "Tekno" or "Tek" or whatever , it's TECHNO.

i also really hate it when people use the word techno in a general sense to describe electronic music

To me tekno with a k always meant hardcore techno. It was just a way to distinguish between techno and tekno.

And Sunil is spot on - techno does NOT mean just any electronic music!!

i'm also finding the use of the word 'tech' to be thrown around a bit these days. irritating...

the term techno has worked for a loooong time, why change a good thing?
