Welcome, this FTP server is provided as a resource for the
alt.music.techno newsgroup. You can upload your tracks, share
single tracks temporarily and generally contribute anything you
like within the rules. We all love the music and the idea here
is to share that interest:) cos TECHNO RULES!

Please keep to the music policy. Anything that is NOT TECHNO
WILL be deleted. If you are unsure what TECHNO is then go and find
out. I can say that it is NOT "pragma" or "Paul Oakenfield", please
do not upload this shit, I will delete it instantly!

In america the term TECHNO is often misused and does not agree
with the european meaning. Drexciya (RIP), Damon Wild @ synewave,
UR all know what techno is and these are american artists. Hopefully
if your posting in the alt.music.techno newsgroup you should have
an understanding of the music.

If you are a newbie to the scene a good place to start is in the
hundereds of bulletin boards spread about the WWW. More importantly
talk to people, this is the fastest way to learn and find out what
you like. A good place to start talking is in chatrooms of peer-peer
mp3 sharing software. Soulseek & Hotline are recommended.

This is not an mp3 trading port like the many you can find in the scene.
There is no quota and you can leech the entire server contents if you wish.
Members OWN work is ideally what we want here. Your tracks, mixes and
artwork... Also new releases that you may wish to share. With regards MP3,
if you like some of the tracks on this server and it is released please
support the artist by buying that maxi or CD! If you do not do this then
it is likely that the artist/label will not continue to be able to give
you more of what you like...SUPPORT THE SCENE

The owner of this server does not accept liability for anything
that is uploaded although the server content is moderated.

DO NOT UPLOAD WAREZ, CRACKS, OR ILLEGAL SOFTWARE to this server. It is
stupid to pretend that noone ever uses cracked software, but this
is not the place for it! Any software of this type uploaded will be
deleted and the uploaders IP put in the reject filter.

I really appreaciate the opportunity to u/l filez and make a contribution, but I'm having some trouble. I don't know how to u/l filez. I think I need an ftp client, but I can't find one that will let me u/l. Also, I'm on a Mac. If anyone can help me I would greatful. I think the techno server is a really wicked idea. Much thanx to the dedicated few who put it together.
