i think the rumbling basslines from dnb works well in hard dark techno
you get the wobbley feel the rumble of bass but the kick of techno

This is one of the work ethics behind DirtyBass Records.
Solitary by nature.
Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

i also want to hear some wicked jungle kinda basslines in techno....
OUT NOW:
- Orlando Voorn & Juan Atkins "Game One (Ritzi Lee remix)" on Nightvision.
- Cybernetics EP on Labrynth (Beatport release)
OUT SOON:
- Black Noiz on Labrynth (vinyl release)
yeah some of the basslines in the Dirtybass tracks are ****ing monsterous, but smooth at the same time. i think using samples/noises from other genres is getting more popular these days, music is getting a lot more "**** it ...that sounds good, whack it in there" other than sticking to certain rules....it just makes music more interesting!
i love techno with hella bass, but it has to be original. remember speed garage? the same dub bassline played over a house beat over and over and over? no thanks.
i cant stand the classic drumcode remainings III style bassline at all
but i like the thomas krome shockabuku volume 2 style bassline...and stuff like that

do we remember it?! mate, the main sort of music they play in 95% of the bars in birmingham IS speed garage. that little microcosm of music. the guys in my old record shop sell bad bootlegs at £10 a pop to the scally kids. like selling them crack!!!Originally Posted by Evil G

yeah he's doin that alot. Ive seen him play quite a few ed rush & optical tunes in his sets recently. He played alien girl by them on 33 at t-funkshun & it worked a treat. :clap:Originally Posted by Stuart
I was playing around with Grimey on 33 the other day that worked. Its just so short though, I also got some other stuff I'm playing about with. I might do some this Saturday.
