anyone here know the record stakker - humanoid?
is it me or is this record a killer to keep in the mix for a long time? lol
nice record anyway, feeling it loads. non stop changing, whole record does it all these years later.

thats one OLD tune that man!
probably down to the way it was programmed
it was all done on the 909 ( as a master sync) and recorded live ( is my guess) and it's very easy to nudge that tempo knob.....
also all the editing back then was done with a razor blade and tape so none of this " snap to bar" type editing that we do today at home.
it's an oldie for sure
god know how many times it's been remixed , in fact i think there was a new one around not so long ago?
love your mum
i love this record...
Was released on HMV as part of the S12 label at £3.99
http://www2.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/display...8111&tab=1
and I got it mint second hand for £2
it's a monster though. dropped the krafy kuts remix of it on a croud that had mostly never heard it before and they absolutely went crazy.
wow, its always nice to find a record that other people like:)
i really did not know much about this record untill i heard a sample and though yeh i just got to get that:)
so it could be true that it does change speed? i cant keep my hand off the pitch. I dont rem hearing it out and i have not heard any one mix it (that i can rem!)
PS:sorry for wrong forum!

The Plump DJs remix updates it REAL NICE!!!
check it out man on jumping & pumping - Pure NRG!!
The original stakker as always been the best mix for me. When i first started listening to the pirates, the old London Sunrise FM used to rinse it out hard. One of my faves
http://www.re-rave-all.net/parties.html Check 2 BAD MICE playing a rare set in the second arena. It will be an honor to play alongside them.
yeh for me too, i rem listening to mix tapes a m8 did for me from the station. i was about 11 i think:) also the tapes from fantasy fm were cool.Originally Posted by MrDangerous

I have the original on vinyl - and your right it's a bugger to mix - but fat as hell - that acid line cuts through the mix like nobodies business, best just quick in and out stealth mission when you play it
yeh been trying that way of mixing it also. is still fun to play it long and keep touching the pitch. easy to go wrong tho lolOriginally Posted by lunatrick

HUMANOID tititjui
anyone knows that iceman-mix (was on the rephlex lp & on the marbled jumpin & pumpin` 12")? one of the best filtered melodylines EVER!
This is FSOL in their Acid House days.

You mean the Snowman mix. It's a great version, second only to the original.Originally Posted by eichel

btw the Humanoid Sessions 2x12" on Rephlex is WELL worth picking up. Some awesome acid on there.
Well i loved it what ever percentage of FSOL was involved (brain douglas)
I even had the vhs single for it. I was hooked on the krafty kuts mix for some time
Great tune.
Thought the plump djs did it justice in their remix.
Original still the best though....
