Hello everyone.

So far I've only received 3 CD's in the post. I can work with that and what I've got, but it would be better if more people contributed.

Is anyone prepared to zip up a load of samples to a big file (say 50 - 100 meg?) and transfer over MSN? Would speed things up a bit!

Let me know so we can arrange a date and time for the transfer.

Just to let you all know this is still going on. Only received 3 cd's so far and 1 download off the net of a load.

I've been going through trying to find "duplicates" and its a long process with so many files! - I've got software that finds duplicates too which is helping.

I want this project to be perfect so I hope everyone can appreciate the delay. Also, please get in touch if you have any concerns or still wish to contribute. I really need to sort out download/upload methods of contributing for this. It was my birthday late November and now being Christmas I've had a lot my time taken up. BUT... I plan to be back on track soon and I will be contacting everyone about this project soon.

I really have to apologise for those waiting for this, it's taking longer than expected. I thought I would have it done by now...

So far I've 12,486 files on to my hard drive. I've sorted 5,203 of them... but I have another 30 CD's that I haven't even started on!

Once I've finished the 12,486, I will mail out that on one DVD. That's 2.4 gigs worth.

The other 30 CD's I have I will have to do over time, and mail out as and when they are completed. It's a cunt sitting here and listening over and over to samples. Ones that are already sorted are easy to copy and paste, but some are mixed up and there is A LOT still to do.

Keep on plugging away though... got tomorrow off too so I'm spending all day tomorrow on this as well.

Here's a break down of what is sorted so far.

Claps

340 files, 34.6 meg.

Cymbals & Bells

313 files, 58.6 meg.

Drums, Snare & Other Percussion

1,739 files, 166 meg.

Hat's (open & closed)

1,035 files, 73.6 meg.

Kick Drum's

1,379 files, 106 meg.

Hardcore Kick's

214 files, 9.2 meg.

Percussive Loops (including Techno, House, DnB etc...)

1,029 files, 307 meg.

There is also a "Misc" folder with odd bits, mainly shakers and odd drum noises.

I also have thousands and thousands more and like I said, roughly 30 CD's containing 200 meg to 500 meg on each of samples of high 24k quality. It's just a never-ending job listening and sorting, but I will get there and once it's done it should be wicked.
