This i posted in beta stage - now it has been massively (!) updated

really insane plugin for the freaks :paranoid:

    DtBlkFx VST plug-in 1.0

DtBlkFx by Darrell Barrell is a Fast-Fourier-Transform (FFT) based Virtual Sound Technology (VST) plug-in for use in a variety of audio software running under Microsoft Windows 2000 or newer.

    Use it for…

Precision parametric equalizing with sharp-roll off
    * Set the frequencies so accurately that you can adjust individual harmonics of a sound
    * Frequency resolutions of up to 0.7 Hz

    Harmonic based (or comb) filtering
    * Set a fundamental frequency and adjust the level of it and its harmonics - you can even remove the pitched component of a voice
    * Active harmonic tracking - let DtBlkFx automatically track a sound and adjust the level of it's harmonics

    Various types of noise control
    * Change the "contrast" between loud and soft frequency components
    * Adjust only those frequencies below or above a particular threshold
    * Clip frequencies above a particular threshold
    * Sound smearing (phase randomizing)

    Frequency shifting
    * Harmonic shifting by a fixed number of notes
    * Non-harmonic shifting by a fixed frequency
    * Active harmonic repitch - the content of your sound is monitored and repitched to a destination note (which is quite fun to try on voice)

    Vocoding
    * Standard (frequency enveloping) - make your trumpet rap, string section sing or synthesizer talk
    * Harmonic based - harmonics in one channel are power-matched to those in the other (or some predefined waveforms) for a new vocoding sound

    Frequency masking
    * A harmonic or threshold mask may be set for any effect (apart from vocoding) - for example only shift frequencies that are below the threshold

Realtime spectrogram (waterfall) display of input and output sounds
    * See what frequency components are in your sound and exactly what you've done
    * Use your mouse to see the note & frequency under the pointer

You can select up to 4 of the above effects to be run in series! Combining the effects in this way allows you to make completely new and surprising sounds.

This is taken from the SynthMaker forum:

    Loop-drive

"As you can see in the topic, it is a loop-player, which can slice a loop into parts, and you can re-order the slices. I also added some basic FX, LFO and an envelope generator. With the envelope generator you can set attack and decay time for all slices.
The FX unit is a type of modular, you can choose the order in which the FX are attached."

And another cool plugin from the same board:

    Grainskan- Granular synth

What we have here is a sort of granular sampler synth thingie..

    Grains:
At the moment there is only 2 grains 180 degrees out of phase which scan across a sample of you're choice. there's only a few grain shapes to choose from at the mo, but, I'll be adding some more at some point. With the grains you have two parameters, 'size' and 'scan speed' which loosly affect the frequency and timbre respectively..

    Scanner:
With the scanner you load a wav of your choice (only stereo ATM) and set the loop points, the rate controls the loop time. You can also set the loop shape, and whether it loops forward/backward/one shot etc.. There's load more shapes that could be done..

    The rest is pretty standard..

Still to add LFO goodness, more shapes, maybe more grains and grain modulation perhaps.. And any other ideas..
