    ScarKord Distorto

Flanging, bit crunching, distortion effect inspired by the Alesis Bitrman f/x unit.

Comments or suggestions? e-mail me at jason@scarkord.com

Note: ScarKord plugins have been tested in both energyXT and Sony Acid but should work in any plugin host which supports VST plugins.

    CAP
    Creative Amplifier Project for Windows/VST

CAP is a creative VST plug-in that simulates a simple guitar amplifier with a compressor and a distortor. But don't take it as an amplifier emulator!

The size of the cabinet (and the size of the speaker) can be changed smoothly in real-time and via automation several new amazing and interesting effects can be obtained!

The preset provided with the effect will demonstrate its capabilities.

    SYNTENDO

NES 2A03 APU SOUND CHIP SIMULATION

It attempts to emulate the sound of the 8-Bit Nintendo Entertainment System using non-emulated methods (read dirty shortcuts).

    Things very NES alike:

    Square/Square/Triangle/Noise w/ ADSR
    Master Pitch per channel
    Frequency Sweeping per channel
Master On/Off + Volume control per channel

    Things not so NES alike:

    Pitch Modulation
    Step Sequence Arp per channel
    Quantization per channel
    Downsample per channel
Micro-Burst-Feedback Delay/Distortion (just try the thing) per channel

    Global Bit Reduction
    Global Clipping
    Global Volume Control

No user manual included at this time (might write one if necessary, but come on this is a VERY simple synth folks). BUT, each control is tool-tipped.

Includes a bunch of presets, some sound like a NES to me, others are intentionally insane-esque because I just can't help myself.

    Mashit

This plugin uses 2 delays to mash up incoming signals

    It produces granular-like sounds
or pitches audio up and down

You can also mash up your material to the extreme
and create weird and interesting soundscapes

    Spatty

A tool to manipulate stereo base

Mid and side signal can be mixed individually
    to widen or narrow the
    stereo base of your audio

    Changed fader range
    Added clip indicators
    Added correlation meters (PFL)

    AudioMeter

Don't you like to „watch“ your audio, too?

This tool measures levels and stereo
    behaviour of incoming audio
    as well as frequency levels

It features peak meters for L, R, M and S,
a stereoscope, position and correlation meters
    and an analyser (view L, R, M, S)

    IIEQ

The IIEQ is a 10-band fully parametric VST EQ for Windows PCs. The goal in designing this equalizer was to create a plugin that is very light on the CPU while offering an amount of sonic control which is not available in the built-in EQs that come with digital audio workstations. Hence the IIEQ is the ideal track EQ, as the user can load many instances without having to suffer from a high CPU load. And, last but not least, the IIEQ is free!
The 10 bands consist of a low- and a high shelf filter with variable gain and cutoff frequency (these are the two bands on the very right and the very left of the user interface that do not offer a Q (i.e. bandwidth) control) plus 8 peaking bands with variable gain, center frequency and Q. The overall level can be adjusted with the "Out" knob.

    Nostaljia

Nostaljia has a very retro sound (could you guess?), like the on-board synthesizers old soundcards of the 90's were equipped with. Prepare for some serious Adlib Soundcard tones!

    Cinematic Reverb

"This is the sweetest, fullest-sounding reverb I have created so far. The depth and stereo-ness makes it very suitable for realistic ambient soundscapes."

    AirEQ

Mabe not a perfect addition (limited functionality) to this thread but it could be useful - as it's of very high quality.

Limited AirEQ demo version features :

    - Same sound quality than the full version
    - No time limitation
    - No preset creation, edition or save
    - Parameters not saved in host, that's mean that equalization parameters are reset on each AirEQ launch
    - No automation support
    - No "Class Bands by Frequency Order" option

HDPHX - Headphone Listening Enhancement for VST

For better mixing whilst on headphones ;)

"We use our HDPHX plugin routinely when mixing with headphones. It takes advantage of the Haas Effect to provide a delayed and attenuated cross-channel mix in each ear to present the sound that would be heard with a stereo speaker system with speakers placed at +/-30 degrees azimuth from front-center.

The plug-in has no user interface. It simply plugs into your stereo audio output channel, and provides the same high-quality 64-bit computing that our other plug-ins feature.

When listening with HDPHX you will no longer get that ear-pounding, head-shaking, strong stereo separation that is so common. Modern recordings are intended mostly for speaker listening. But when listening through stereo headphones you don't normally get the kind of lef-right cross mixing that happens in a room with speaker playback.

Our HDPHX preserves the good stereo separation without producing the fatigue that accompanies long listening sessions with artificially high stereo separation.

Try it out for yourself and see if you agree. It's free, so go ahead and download today."

    Groovy.
What I`m looking for is a really different percussion vst.
Not the usual 808, 909 boredom, but something different. There aren`t enough percussion plugs around really, and I`m bored of samples, I prefer the control of sound you get with percussion generators.
Are there any good ones out there?
