First row of buttons are to turn generators on/off.

Phase buttons to switch variations position.

Var: Adjust the level of variation depending of the generator.

Vol: Volume knobs for each generator.

    Scanned Synth VST

Scanned Synth VST is the first VST plug-in to implement "Scanned Synthesis" - until now, this new synthesis technology has only been available to users of Csound and Max.

Scanned Synthesis represents a powerful and efficient technique for animating wavetables and controlling them in real-time. Developed by Bill Verplank, Rob Shaw, and Max Mathews between 1998 and 1999 at Interval Research, Inc. it is based on the psychoacoustics of how we hear and appreciate timbres and on our motor control (haptic) abilities to manipulate timbres during live performance.

Scanned Synthesis involves a slow dynamic system whose frequencies of vibration are below about 15 Hz. The ear cannot hear the low frequencies of the dynamic system. So, to make audible frequencies, the "shape" of the dynamic system, along a closed path, is scanned periodically. The "shape" is converted to a sound wave whose pitch is determined by the speed of the scanning function. Pitch control is completely separate from the dynamic system control. Thus timbre and pitch are independent. This system can be looked upon as a dynamic wave table. The model can be compared to a slowly vibrating string, or a two dimensional surface obeying the wave equation.

Scanned Synth VST is currently in development and does not yet have a GUI (it uses the host's default GUI).

"I would be really interested to hear about how you use the plugin and any ideas that you have about what the user interface should be like. There is currently a very large number of parameters and I would like to reduce that number considerably by removing those that are redundant and combining some groups of them into single parameters.

Please send any feedback to me (John Proctor) at feedback@humanoidsounds.co.uk "

    MB CreamBass

This is a little plugin to modify the lower frequencies in a mix.

It uses a 12 dB/Oct lowpass filter to add a soft bass.
Frequency and amount of the filter can be adjusted as well as wet/dry level
    and overall level.

    MB MooLoPa

As the name implies, this is a moogish lowpass filter :-)
(and part one of my new Moo series, but the name doesn't imply that...;)

You can control cutoff frequency and resonance as well as
the envelope amount and mix between modulated and non-modulated signal.

    MB MooDelay

    Hm, what might that be?
It's part two of my new Moo series

You can control delay time, feedback and wet/dry mix
    and the highpass frequency

    MB MooPhaz

This is a 6/12-stage phaser with LFO
It's the last part of my new Moo series

You can sweep manualy or let
the LFO modulate the phaser frequency

You can control LFO frequency and amount, phaser frequency
and q as well as output level
The WID-button inverts the carrier signal on one channel
    to create stereo phasing

    MB Almost Soft Compressor

This is my first attempt in comressor design
The MB ASC uses a 1st degree polynom to calculate the
softness „curve“, which actually is a line and not a curve

It has all controls you expect on a compressor
    like attack, release etc.

    MB Ultra Soft Compressor

The MB ASC uses a 2nd degree polynom to calculate the
softness curve and generate a soft compression

It has all controls you expect on a compressor
    like attack, release etc.

    MB MooRiMo

This is a ring modulator with two oscilators
It's part three of my new Moo series

The LFO modulates the carrier frequency
and the carrier modulates the input signal

You can control LFO frequency and amount,
    carrier frequency and wet/dry mix
The WID-button inverts the carrier signal on one channel
so it can be used as autopan

Ez all, im new to the forum.

Dont know if its been posted already cos couldnt be arsed to go through 20 odd pages.

    What Is It?

Glitch is a highly-adjustable, semi-automated, realtime audio manipulation system which allows you to alter your music in a variety of different ways ranging from quite subtle to extremely bizarre. At its heart is a sequencer which sychronises to the host tempo and slices the incoming audio into user-defined patterns, applying a random selection of DSP effects to each slice.

Now its not actually free, but the demo is highly usable with audio bouncing. It goes quiet for a few seconds every few minutes.

The full version isn't much (30 euros). Well worth the money for this must have mangling effect. Respect

    sonogram sg-1

    sonogram

SG-1 gathers some features which are usually isolated in other sonogram tools.
It works in real-time. It continues analyzing in the background, and only stops when you freeze it. Both in frozen or running mode, every time you click or drag within the sonogram area, frequency and amplitude rulers highlight the values corresponding to that point.
A little LED-like screen shows you in detail analysis information and parameter modifications, or the transport position when idle.

The unusual thing: it comes with six scientific color palettes (twelve considering they can be inverted, by clicking the palette twice), which can be switched on the fly with a single click. Each of them can highlight different dynamic ranges, from high power kickdrum beats, to little spikes coming out from the noise floor.
Every palette can be shifted by simply dragging the dB ruler, to better contrast the right amplitude ranges.

You can vary the number of snapshots-per-second on the fly, to increase or decrease the time resolution. At any time you can change the zoom ratio, without loosing in resolution over the signals which have already passed by.
Of course you can scroll the zoomed screen while analyzing, to easily locate the frequency range of interest.
A mark button is provided: it allows highlighting interesting parts of the waveform for subsequent individuation.

    chorus ch-2

This original chorus effect offers a high quality modulation engine, and many other original features: one of these is the practical user interface, which allows the user to obtain thousands of different sound configurations.

    Mainliner X2

"Mainliner X2Okay, so I'm a sucker for big fat warbly detuned monobasses. Everyone needs a monosynth, no? I once had one, back in the mists of time, and now I do again.

Here's the rebirth of the infamous Mainliner. Twice, no thrice, as good. Actually works properly.

    - 3x3 oscillators
    - 3 LFOs
    - 3 EnvGen
    - 2 Filters
    - FM
    - HardSync
    - shiny gui

Pile on the pulsewaves, detune to all buggery, slap over an 8-pole LPF and hoov away, sunshine. I actually made some presets for this one, even."
