not as hard as i was hoping. the kick is quite subdued, and the synth is overpowering the track for me, but i like its crazy wandering about! the bongo loop doesn't change enuff for me either. what synth are u using for the strings?

that kick sounds far too compressed. in fact the whole mix seems a little squashed, but the kick in particular is suffering. interesting stuff going on, verging on random at points, but theres some good ideas in there....

my problem with the kick was not getting it messed up in there with the bassline.

any suggestions for a frequency range?

    you guys are totally right.

i find kicks usually need to have a decent amount of presence at around 100hz to have any real power, which leaves a fair bit of room underneath (+ a lot above) for bass. you could always try experiementing with sidechaining or grouping your kick/bass together & compressing if youre still struggling to get the best out of both elements........

Funky. I like the rsing synth sound. The bongo percussion is kicked but I feel the snare isn't quite stong enough and the kick drum is almost non existant on my headphones. The synth melody is wicked.. Strengthen up the kick and this should be a solid tune.
