Default Recording live dj or pas in a club with crowd mics

Sorry if ive posted this in the wrong area, not sure wher i shoulvde put it

Has anybody recorded live dj or pas in a club with crowd mics.

I though about using a mulit track recorder for the job..

recordt straigh from the deks on 2 channels(left right) but then i think most multi tracks only can record 2 tracks so ther is no 3rd track to reoord the crowd noise....

i was wanting to do that then i could mix the crowd in to the deisred level at the points i wanted...

If yav did this before - how did you do it????

you could just record the crowd with a mic and mini disc and then cut and paste it afterwards........

we've done this a few times at our interface gigs. one of the most successful recordings of todd sines live XTRAK pa. we used 2 minidiscs. one plugged directly to the mixer and the other with a mic.

later dumped them both into cool edit and bounced them together. after a lil bit of editing and level control it sounded great
