M Audio Delta range ...
RME Multiface ... I don't know Uk prices though

my choice goes 2 my most loved RME Multiface!!!

Djax-Up Beats rec, Minimalistix Rec, Holtzplatten Rec, Invasion Rec, Fined Rec., bla bla bla
M-Audio Delta series cards run $500 US for the 1010LT , and $800 US for the 1010 with the rackmount breakout box instead of just a mess of cables.
The RME Multiface is a little bit more expensive, but comes with ADAT capability, while M-Audio charges another $200 US for it, and it doesnt look as nice.
Either way you are looking at $1000 US , or around 650 pounds
Ebay is a bit cheaper, but you sometimes never know what you are going to get, or whats been done to it previously

You go in hard, and you go in fast.

I've got a Marian Marc 4 Midi which has 4 - 1/4" jacks and to be honest that's all ya gonna need. I'm really pleased with it apart from the drivers were a bit of a bitch to install but I got there in the end. German engineering at it's best........ahaha
Cost £229 (a year ago)

I'd suggest the Delta 10/10. Lots of people I know have them and they rock.
I have an Echo Mia...could i still run a mixer and with 8in-8out..
Id hate to get another sound card any suggestions?
still undecided on this, will i b able to use a mixing desk with the card if i havent got the 8 in outs?
Im looking into this as well. Currently got a delta 44 which is fine, but i want more controls!!!!! Think I'm heading towards RMA, do you need the RMA ADI-8 Pro Interface to connect the Ins and Outs to an external mixer?
That new Yamaha 01X is looking mighty fine...what mixers do people use on here?
Does anyone use MOTU hardware? I was intriged by the 828 and the 2408 mk3. Also i've heard reports that the Lynx range are good soundcards.
-If your going for quality and timing.. RME wins. (Lowest latency card there is) However if you have some nice external synths and do allot of recording, the (hardly talked about) Lynxx Two card has the best converters hands down. Compared by many to equal the industry benchmark external AD/DA Apogee converters. The lynx is only 4 in 4 out though..
-I always though I needed 8 ins and 8 outs (or even more).. but once I got to working I ended up doing all my work in the computer. All I needed is one high end stereo record channel and one good efx loop (computer-to ext efx- to computer)
-8 outs is good if you are mixing down externally.
-Who the hell really uses 8 ins?
-While M-Audio is not a first choise... its not a bad option if cash is an issue. (good timing.. clean (but thin) recording)
