    Default Post Counts?

Just wondering if people think the whole post count thingy is necessary on the site along with the total feak/major freak buzz? It doesnt bother me that much but it does comes across a bit silly if we want people to feel like they are all on an equal footing. Creates an imaginary heirarchy sometimes i think. Just a thought.

I agree with Mass...But, then again, it may a subtle complaint.

I would have to agree with Mass. There is always a dangerous possibility that people with more posts will be perceived to be more Yoda like than those with lesser posts.

Take myself for instance. I have been reading this forum pretty much from the start, but I have less then 100 posts. Yet people who have joined a few months have a couple of hundred of posts talking about how great the latest loopy banger is or discussing yet again Jeff Mills' ability/inability as a DJ.

It really says nothing about your knowledge on music or life in general. The Little Detroit forum don't have any post count at all, and I think it's a great idea.

i think people with approximatley 450 posts should be treated like gods...

exactly, its more important to look at what someones saying in their posts, rather than how many posts they actually have.
And dont go saying its because i have alot of posts, you could delete my post count for me, i wouldnt be bothered
