I heard a rumour that Glenn is notorious for missing his gigs.... anyone have any idea if this is true?

Otherwise I'll save myself the drive and go to Lars Klein at the Fridge instead...

thats because our night was originally at the custard factory, we then moved it to the sanctuary, ours is the only gig he is playing that night

    Underground City
    Newsletter
    The festival series part II

Everyone from Cohesion, Skankadelic, Noizworks, Six-Six-Six, Sonic Vision, Lost & The Funk Station would just like to say a big thanks to everybody who attended underground city @ the custard factory on the 25th March. It was wicked to see 750 + partygoers turning out to show there support on our first night, and I think I speak for most when I say a what a top night with a great atmosphere was had by all!! Every room was f~*kin avin’ it!!

Our apologies go out to the owner of whoever’s shop it was next to the drum & bass rig that ended up with it’s glassware being smashed by the vibrations from the rig. You got to say though that’s some mental bass action.

Those who stayed till the end will probably have seen a flyer for the next underground city, due to a double booking at the venue we have moved the night to the legendary venue “The Sanctuary” also in Digbeth Birmingham, but don’t worry the line up with remain exactly the same with a few extra additions!! We will be able to put in more décor, light and rig, as we were limited at the custard factory due to restrictions with the décor. There has been some questions about the door staff at the sanctuary (the stigma is from about 5 years ago and it has defiantly changed) don’t worry we are assured that they are friendly and polite.

We have teamed up with some great promoters to bring 5 rooms of top quality music, by world respected djs and producers alike. Each room is being hosted by a separate promotion, bringing a whole variety of clubbers all together under one roof, again expect the unexpected we pride ourselves on the overall production of the evening.

So here is what we have in store!!!

    UNDERGROUND CITY

    FRIDAY 6TH MAY

    10pm – 6 am

    THE SANCTARY

    Digbeth, Birmingham

Arena 1 techno/acid/hard dance…….hosted by COHESION and SKANKADELIC

The headliner in this room needs no introduction, the man who over the last 6 years has been responsible for so many of the best hard techno labels in the scene including punish, planet rhythm, compound, heros, magnetics and many more, playing a rare uk live appearance the legendary Glenn Wilson will surely rock the night with his unique grinding techno style. He will be supported by some quality dj/producers from the scene Alex Calver, Cyber Steve and more.

Glenn Wilson - live (Planet Rhythm, punish)
    Alex Calver (Glitch, Hydraulix)
    Cyber Steve (cohesion, WahWah)
    Mr Burns (skankadelic, blipped out)
    Oli Brand (666/blipped out)
    Gav Ravenous (Ravenous)

Arena 2 Drum and bass………hosted by NOIZWORKS

Beware at our last night many of you commented on how great the sound system was in this arena; well that was only half the stack! And yes as much as possible is being unleashed for this. Noizeworks present some of the freshest talent on the scene.

    Pendulum
    Chase and Status (Bingo/bc presents)

He was resident dj at godskitchen for 7 years and has played virtually every city in the world and most club brands. With a weekly show on sky TV he is still very busy. Adam white was a resident for euphoria the largest selling cd compilation and is just fresh back from a tour of oz after release of
whiteroom late last year!! Adam was voted armin van burrens favourite dj one too watch in 2005.
