Gaetek used to be my fave artist hands down. Then he went all mellow on us. Cool but I really miss his harder edge stuff. It used to have such funk to it.

i think my man could have done alot more to establish some sort of sense of diversity at first and then folks would not talk about him the way they do.... getting stuck in a pigeon hole sucks................ :?

my absolute favorite from gaetano HAS to be the S.I.L.I.A. double-ep released on planet rhythm UK a long time ago.
filthy italian funk all the way down.

motorial EP isn't too bad either, but it's old too.
his new production has set very high standards and it's top notch, but i think he's kind of lost the "soul" of his productions. most big-name producers these days just produce tracks in a conveyor-belt manner, track after another but very few of 'em are tracks that you'd remember after a few months. pity that :(

My favourite Gaetek production is probably "The last three mounts" on Conform, one track on it is like what Vigorito has been getting at in many of his own productions, it is for me a definitive record in the harder end of his stuff. Haven't been partcularly astounded by his recent work though and I agree that it's lost a lot of its soul

Gaetano used to be the bomb. I think with time he'll come back around to the gaetek we all grew up on...that'd be cool.

Gaetano is still is one of my favourite producers,
in fact i love that whole italian sound even if it is a bit repetitive.
I do agree that G could do with changing things around a bit but there is also a part of me that wants him to keep making em the same too..

I think i am just a bit unfashionable as i am loving some of the swedish tunes now more than ever aswell - and they arent really flavour of the month either... Let alone the big brown flares and green tank top with gay little sheep the front that i love to wear!

    hmmm...
    jimmah!
