1st track i wasnt so into, though it sounds tidy enuff.

2nd track is cool & i like. odd acid wobble & much madness

3rd track i ws into so much either. and it seemed to have a very slight fart going on in the bass

4th track i wasnt diggin either but thats down to taste as much as anything

the only thing i would say is maybe a little compression & eq'ing here & there ?

what ws used to make these ?

hes not using much at the moment, couple of keyboards and a few bits of old analogue gear

Also hes only had a pc for maybe 9 months with very liitle software

not an excuse but he is still learning, compression and eqing are a big yes and i've told him this. but step by step it will get there

cheers for the reply pete ;)

well I would say that these are for sure good efforts indeed for just getting started. Sounds like he is using mainly hardware and recording it live to me. He has a good grasp on things thus far I think and his skills will only increase as he continues. BTW I did enjoy the first tune pretty well.
