its right though innit, so many people moan about muisc they dont like...whats the fvcking point...it drives me nuts man...support the music you love and keep it at that!Originally Posted by gary_human

What does it matter what you call it??
I kinda like pigeon holing, The world revolves around it. If i went to a record shop and they had one massive pile of records labled "Techno" then it would probably take me ages to find my taste within the genre.
Why not go the whole hog and get rid of all pigeon holes and call anything "Music"
The simple answer is because it makes our lives easier and quicker. You wouldnt go to a resturant and be pissed off because they had split the menu up into different sections would you? Or go to the supermarket and be pissed off with the fact that the tin of beans is with the tin of spagetti? Yes, they are all in tins, but they have differences...
i think gunsak is a chauncey.
i see your point, but there is an equal and opposite reaction...keep dividing the genre and artists just start making narrower and narrower tracks.Originally Posted by IQ
if i was still working at a shop, i'd sort the records by label

Of course the endless division of genres and subgenres does noone any good if it defines the sole, microscopic, range of music to be played at one party or by one dj, but if you're looking for something specific it's nice to be able to pin it down and save some time.
imo

Schranz is a root cause of Cannibalism. Wheres that diagram gone?
I dont consider the production liebing or wilson put out the same as Amok or OBI. Maybe Schranz is not the best word to use but I would not classify it as just hard techno.
Sven: Hahaha You minimalist fockers! Where is the BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM?
i used to go out raving

it is great , i am stupid , and so is the music.
