Since the first of his cheeky remixes burst out of Goodgreef’s speakers at the tail end of 2003 Dark By Design (aka Gaz West) has been a one-man production machine. With anthem after anthem released on leading labels like Tidy, Nukleuz, Pulse and GGR he is clearly one of the most important new artists to arrive on the Hard Dance scene in recent years – a fact recognised at the prestigious “Hard Dance Awards” when he was voted “Best Remixer 2004”!

On one side of this EP is the awesome “Gods Child”. A collaboration with Bionic resident Brian M, this track sports a nasty (in a very good way!) bassline that batters you into submission as rapid snares and twisted synths take you into the break. As the tune goes quiet shouts of “Gods Child” ring out as haunting pads build the crowd’s anticipation before the euphoric main riff comes in to power the track home.

On the flip is “Free Your Mind” and the bassline here is also a standout, growling away menacingly throughout. At the break Dark By Design again demonstrates his incredible ability to create an amazingly energetic and uplifting rift whilst at the same time infusing the track with a heavyweight punch. Watch the crowd explode when this awesome piece of hard trance rips out of the speakers! Also featured on Goodgreef Album 3.
