Default LEEDS TECHNO PIONEER: Iain Vonn Trapp RIP

Just thought I'd post this here too.
Iain, of Accrue Acree Records, Flashback, and geeral Leeds 6 fame died on Monday.

There's people closer to him to say more, but I have lost a friend, and a mentor almost - someone who always took an interest in my music, my gigs, and me as a person.

    RIP mate.

chrissi and i hung out with iain quite abit over the years and we shared some amazing times. sort of lost touch in the last few years but only due to my schedule and nothing whatsoever more than that. i'm really shocked to read this. what a mad life we have. i'd like to take this opportunity to wish him all the happiness now he's gone, i'm sure he's gonna rock wherever he's ended up. let me make this sticky so we can all send our respect ;)

I know I've posted on here already but certain times come flooding back about Iain like his most excellent Love Parade after party at his record shop in Hyde Park where he cleaned out the entire stock from the shop, put in a massive system and invited everyone and anyone to come join the fun. After a 3 hour walk to get to the party after the Love Parade we finally arrived about 3am and the party was mental with what appeared to be half of LS6 roaming about going nuts to D&B and techno; it was such a great atmosphere with everyone having a blast.

Iain's old school parties were excellent, proper acid house vibe and even though they had special guests playing I always found his selection and utter wealth of old school/obscure techno totally amazing and always stole the show for me.
