Default non-technical ingredients for a good track

    i'm thinking:

    atmosphere, energy, direction and groove.

    discuss.

solid idea of who you are.

and atmosphere can't be underrated. make the room reflect you, not "techno".

    Originality / Innovation.

Not essential, but they make stuff stand out.

On with the atmosphere again -

I like to make stuff which describes something musically. Most people tend to decribe an emotion through their music, i try to portray a story, or a scene, so you can mentally build a picture of a place through my tracks. Mind you, ive probably not done that good a job at it

But yeah, atmosphere is very important...

    Divine Inspiration.
    Something from the heart.
    Something from the mind.
    Something from the gut.
    Serendipity.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

Martin must have landed a job or is trying to right now. Have to take a pee test I take it homie???

Although I do agree with Lau, a couple of joints, some liqour of preferance, and then just let things happen.

Plus going thru tramatic life events can help out as well. Just use the music as an outlet to get rid of your frustrations of sadness. Then your tune will reflect your feelings at that time. If possible try to tell a story with it as Q suggested.
