Default So what do you do when you dont yet quite have studio...

    Monitor speakers?

The next best thing, render your songs in cubase/fl producer to wavs and mp3s everytime you want to hear the levels, get them perfect to you like em. Same for Eqing.
It works till i can get a nice expensive pair of monitors.
I did some Analyse and the quality sounds really really good when i eq and perfect the track levels. Really impressed. Plus after awhile, knowing my speakers and how music sounds on them help.
I have many sources also to hear how it sounds on different speakers, headphones, even tv Twisted Evil

I got 2 tracks in the works if anyone wants to know.
one trance song and another techno/acid track both with vstis...
    Novation Vstation
    Z3TA+
    Cameleon 5000
    Audiorealism Bassline
    and some others.

Trance influences is DJ Tiesto and PVD.

I`m not sure I get it either to be honest.
There is no substitution for monitors.
If you want to make music to a professional standard then you need some good nearfields.
Until then you will never get a very clear picture. And although constant cross referencing on other speaker systems will help to a certian extent, you can never make the minor adjusments on the fly that you will need to do to really perfect a mix, as you "look" into it.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?
