    this week i am buyin someones 1200's off them... but with no carts etc...

    im just wondering what you would recomend for me to buy all i will want them for is in my bedroom and to bang out a cd for me mates every once in a while

    im not too fussed about price but obviously i dont wanna be paying stupid money...

    so jus wondered what every1's opinions where that i should get?


    also im thinkin about buying a new mixer so with that criteria above what do you suggest?

    been nosing around the net and i think for mixer i might jus save that lil but extra and get a allen & heath xone32 its prob 1 of the niect mixers ive used and in all honesty i prefer it to the djm600 which ive used a couple times...

    jus wanna know what needdles ppl recomend

    for needles, your best setting yourself a budget.

    for bedroom use, it doesnt erally matter what you use. just buy a pair you can afford.

    stanton 500al's do a job, theyre the cheapest, last a while and do an ok job.
    ortofon's range are alot better, but more expensive, and so are shure sm44's.

    so have a look and see what you want to spend

    i use Stanton 505sk at home an they do the job just fine got a pair of shure white labels too :lol: but 4 messin around at home the stantons are fine

    For playing at home, there is no need to spend exorbitant amounts of money on styli. Stanton 500 series are ok, the 680s are good.

    Dont f**k about.

    Get the shure M-447s. No question, no equal (except the white labels) and no looking back.

    You can learn to scratch properly n all.
