Panoramic Virtual Tours

i might be doing a site for a Fitness Centre, and they want a Virtual Tour. I'm sure I could try and program the thing with a load of images, in flash or director, but thats seems very longwinded.

I found some software, VRstitcher Fisheye Professional, but its $500. ANyone have any experience with this type of thing?

Would i need to invest? Or is there cheaper/free software around that can do it?

Pretty sure there's a Java thing somewhere which is probably free.
