i don't ever hear these guys.. as i don't live in the uk that is why i don't really have an opinion on them.. they aren't in my face.

at the same time.. could there ever be a commercial r1 show on techno something that actually promote techno and not rape it?? hosted by somone like henry or mark (for instance). reasons why or why not?

They wouldn`t be interested as the ratings would be low.

The only show on R1 worth listening to is John Peels, and I don`t mind listening to Chris Moyles in the afternoon as he`s a funny geezer.

Because the big stations don't see what Fergie is doing as a techno show, they just see it as Fergie's show, i couldn't see them wanting to scout people like Henry or Mark as they are not in the Jules,Tong, Mixmag, or whatver click. Big stations wouldn't really care for having a specialist techno show at all, they just want a name to front it and considering BBC or whoever probably don't have a breeze about techno you can be pretty sure that having a proper techno show is not high on their list of priorities.

Question to Mark and Henry: Would you take a show on BBC or Radio One if it was offered? Taking into account all that goes with it i.e. Being as much of a presenter/"personality" (!) as being a DJ, doing live broadcasts, being on the front of magazines all the time?

as much i hate to agree with billy i do have some sympathy with what hes is saying:

granted we all tow the same line when it comes this bunch of dj's but where is the need for comments like that?

god knows anyone serious about techno/trance doesn't take this lot seriously so why be scared/pissed off with them...

there like children with new toys.. soon they will get bored and move on leaving only those truley dedicated to the industry...
