if you wanna spend big money the elektron drum machine is the best option especially now as it has sampling capabilities as well.

i have one. dunno about the bugs, but i have encountered some weird behaviour. loadsa happy customers though. and serious thump. i think the kickdrum is the wicked thing on this thing!!

but actually i would either buy a machinedrum, or one of those electribes you can put your own samples in or wait for the xbase 999. or invest in something different than a drummachine. like a nice synth or something. i dunno if you need a drummachine nowadays, tbh. of course you don't need a real synth, either ;)

I was thinking xbase because its half the price of the machinedrum but i was looking at the electribe sx sampler and they look sweet, its more of a drum machine / sampler so it could be well worth it .

the xbase is a clone of the 909, but i actually think it can be more versatile than the 909. The kick drum is amazing.....

the only trhing i mentioned earlier, was the bugs. At least the one that i encountered had bugs in it and lots of erratic behaviour....and no more OS updates for xbase-09.
