It wasn't a bad challenge though,he caught it under his foot and maybe twisted it a bit,I don't think it's bust.

    Fingers crossed though.

He's deffo not gonna make it and Owen is also going to struggle.

Every cloud has a silver lining tho,coz now they may be forced to play a style which will suit Gerrard and Lampard (if they dare drop Beckham that is)

at least he didn't pick up this injury during the season, f**k knows where Utd would be if we were forced to miss him for a long period...

bassline's right, England had no chance anyway but now that is certain...

    we'll see.

Gerrard and Lampard now put into better positions where they can attack? ol' lanky bollocks floating in on some free balls, and maybe Defoe weaving in and out of defences world wide. Don't seem so bad after all does it?

Defoe is a good player but he's not in the same class as Rooney...

Gerrard and Lampard can't seem to play together...

    and Crouch is a joke...

fair enough it looks unlikely england will lift a tea cup let alone the world cup but.........

i still think we will do well , are midfield is probally the best in the world bar france , are defence is solid as **** , and we still have darren bent, crouch, defoe even andy johnson!!!!

not first choicers but we have a decent squad, and who knows rooney + owen still might make it......

I reckon we should play a similar formation to Chelsea, with Carrick or King giving Lampard and Gerrard license to get forward and not worry about defending so much, just a shame we won't drop Beckham for Lennon say... Or if Owen's fit, which I got the impression he might be saying he'd heard from other players it was normal to feel pain after, then I'd play Cole behind Owen and Downing on the left.

If Owen isn't fit though I'd be tempted to play Beattie over Crouch as the target man, he's just not mobile enough, though I'm sure he'd cause problems as a sub or something.
