have you tried tweaking it with standard issue red elastic bands that postmen use ?, you get a much grungier thicker bass off them :lol:Originally Posted by eyeswithoutaface

Hows that Uli Behringer thing holding out? I heard the quality was crap, but never used one so the jury is out.

Shure PG81 and a couple of Shure PG58's

If your talking about the Controller. It`s simply amazing. Great price, great build. It`s been with me in my live PA set up internationally for just over a year and I`ve had no problems no breakages, it responds quickly and has enough knobs and sliders to allow me to do the job proiperly.
If you are talking about the little valve unltragain, then also, it`s great, The Luna Mic already sounds like silk anyway, as it is a vintage style mic, but with the little tube gain, it sounds even more silky. Really nice.
Behringer stuff is hit and miss, you either have to go by a honest reputation or get a try before you buy.
Luckily I still got a few mates in pro studio`s so I get the lowdown on stuff from people I really trust.
As for the Absolute 2`s. I simply wouldn`t use anything else. When the NS10`s became defunct, the Absolute 2`s became almost the new industry standard in studios. Thing is it takes about 6 months of use to wear the drivers in, as they tend to be a little tight at first, and not too accurate in the bass area.
I just found a new pair on ebay and bought em for a mate who was desperate for some. I tested them to make sure they were ok, and they were still as new, so the drivers were too tight, as is typical.
Poor geezer has gotta wear em in now.
