cubase automation help

hi

im using a kenton spin doctor to control my vst's but when i try to record the autoation it wont record? the knobs on the vst move but it doesnt record, if i use the mouse to move the knobs then it records?

anyone got any idea what i am doing wrong

i alwys found cubase a bit of a bitch to automate.... some VST would when others wouldnt, and God save us, if you ever wanted to automate the Waves plugs ins...

the only way i can think of it is to control your intrument with a midi controller and then you can save the automation within the midi track...

but as i said i never really figured it out properly.

the spin doctor is a midi controller it controls the vsts great
i just can record the tweeks with it :( it only records when i use the mouse i really dont understand whats wrong with it
