    Sounds top, count me in.

Also curious what the cocoon is like, could this be a much needed alternative to the med bar? Fingers crossed!

I'm just guessing but is Cocoon at the old Radius place cus that closed down a while back and it's in the same area?

Forshaw's live show's are awesome! I've got my fingers crossed he's gonna be extra abusive to the crowd this time.
The first time i saw him at HOG i thought he was gonna leather some poor kid for not dancing enough!

Cocoon is on Holloway Circus, kind of near Richer Sounds + Nostalgia comic shop (but across the road). its been totally revamped and used to be some kind of caberet nightclub. i think jigsaw are doing something there and Anton Debiage is doing something as well. hopefully there should be a second room on our night for added value!

should be wicked - also in October we have Vex'd LIVE, and Surgeon!! ;)

Confusion! I just had a drive round that area and couldn't find it. It's not in the old radius building, that's now painted cream (nice!) and called scarlets. It's also not cobarna's which is the one on the corner oposite richer sounds. To be fair, I was driving so couldn't use my eyes to their full potential but it must be fairly well hidden (or the sign hasn't been put up yet).

i think it used to be called The Jester and was some kind of caberet club.

You're not wrong, it was probably Birmingham's oldest and most notorious gay bar. But not any more. Now it's a very cool underground club, good size (about 350-400), good PA, and judging from what's gone on so far a friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to rockin' the place on the 29th :eyes:

There are a limited number of VIP guest list places available for this night, if you think you qualify for one please mail me at sirreal@blueyonder.co.uk explaining why, and if you are worthy I'll sort you out. Should also mention that there is a £6 concessionary price for students and unemployed, please present proof of status on the door to get in for this bargain price. Finally, the second room on the night will be hosted by DJ Scaramanga (3rd Nipple Soundsystem) and Ronco K-Tel, rocking a mentalist selection of weirdness from across the ages...

Erm, no, I'm afraid not...but you can always email me and try and persuade me if you like...though by my reckoning you would owe ME money surely? Only kidding...
