again, people getting confused about vinyl on the whole, and vinyl as part of the dance scene. Check into those 1 million upsurge in sales of vinyl, which i presume means 7", 10" and 12", and see how many of the sales are clocked up by non-electronic artists. I think people will get a clearer idea then

i dont care anyway, im only using laserdiscs from now on

by non-electronic i mean your average bands that are hot property right now, there is a growing trend within the band scene to release singles on 7" vinyl. Even a smaller act releasing on 7" generates alot more sales than alot of fairly big techno/electro artists who get no radio 1 play, no word of mouth on a big scale that generates sales, no tv appearances that bump up sales etc etc

something tells me this second bout of hear say on the BBC site hasnt taken into account sales of say, ooooohhhhh, Manuel Fuentes last 5 records or something. That's just an example, these kind of articles are so far of the scale when trying to correlate the information given against a scene that people like myself are actually part of and have a good solid understanding off. It's a load of crock. It's just like saying Spam is making a comeback because they sold more tins than last year, it's not, it's just happened that alot of people want processed, reformed ham and pork in a tin this year, than they did last year.
