    Default problem with power save mode

    can anybody advice me.
    when im working on my pc my monitor switches off and says IN POWER SAVE MODE PRESS ANY BUTTON OR MOUSE. but when i do so nothink is happening. looks like engine is still on but comp doesnt reply to my commends like pressing CapsLock.

    go to control panel > power save options and configure your power save options.

    This could solve it, but maybe problem will be soemthing else as thomas says, it happens while he is working, which is weird.

    if he has the monitor set to power off after 30mins/1 hour "regardless" it will switch off even if he's working.

    He can try, but i don't think this will help.

    i tried that .thats a problem. doesnt work. monitor is set on NEVER (power off). basicly when im converting something or use two or three programs together it happens then.but sometimes it does even with 1 software on. i had somethink saying about default volts settings in bios.and i've done it. but problem hasnt been resolved. it still pissing me off.

    What Windows are you running?. I would try to connect another monitor, and you will see if it will be same or not...Also check Bios again and turn off the Power saving settings.. when it doesn't help, I would try to update the video card and motherboard drivers,.

    its probaly unlikely but it might be worth checking/replacing the cable going from ur monitor 2 ur PC
