personally speaking it doesn't look like rowland is coming across as argumentative, he's just stating a different view point, if every thread is just full of people agreeing, this place would become really boring and non productive

Life is "trying things to see if they work"
Finally getting around to updating my site

Dave knows scooter lyrics
shall i tell you what dan...
It wasnt that he was being argumentative, its just he comes across this is a thread he cares little about i.e this is SUCH a boring internet topic and so old hat...
Well it ISNT ....its a production question and a good one at that. Tempo is a fundamental question and those who are interested in the nitty gritty are only to be applauded.
[ANNOYED]
SO why is it that rowland the bastard needs to chip in with a negative? Cmon man, fess up? why be like that? What does it achieve? Do you think people are going to steal your secrets or is it that you havnt actually thought deeply enough into it to even CARE about the little things such as TEMPO? Do you run at the same boring tempo everytime or have you been interested enough to try and work it out?[ /ANNOYED]
You say it isnt thinking oustide boundaries? but no offence to the others, but everyones tempo seems to be in the same range.. apart from the 70BPM one... thinking oustide boundaries IS about asking questions...
Sure trying to find out what tempo people here write their music at smacks of copying or emulating, but thats a step on the road to production in any genre... most of all techno.
Im sorry about some of my comments, TBH i DIDNT mean them personally, but then i dont KNOW you at all and its easy to pass verbal wind [quote chris here later..] but harder to know the person. im attacking your comments but not you. Like i said, i'll still take one in the face for a laugh, and get up and say the same things.

haven't you guys got spilt milk to cry over?
I'm pretty sure this thread was started as a joke so why's everyone taking a little thing like the pitch control to heart like an infidel calling names at Allah?
NB the best speed for techno is at 138.52983 reoccurring and played backwards
It is a boring internet topic though. some people like it fast, some like it slow. It's up to the DJ and producers to play / make the techno they like at the speed they like and if others take a shine to it then so be it.
next you'll be asking what key people prefer their percussion in or whats the optimum number of high hats per bar ;)
i'm not replying to the question though, i'm commenting on the relevence of the subject matter.
heres a question for you: why are you being so argumentative? we're all brothers of techno here
(excuse the spelling. i dont have a spellchecker on my pocket pc)
"The Taoiseach's plans are a quick fix, not a long term solution" - DJ Sunil Sharpe
same goes for rowland the 150bpm all my life bastard.

125 bpm.
170 bpm
I think this is an interesting thread, not least for the fact that it's got some people quite hot under the collar.
Personally I like lots of different types of bpms, I think anyone who has settled on one exact bpm from which they'll never change, needs to ask themself some questions.
was i talking to you? No! So chill out
of course the subject matter is going to be stupid, that's why it's a pisstake thread. i know this, you know i know this - so why get shirty with me?
i hope this is the end of the matter because there's nothing more pointless than arguing with someone that agrees with you *rolleyes*
