Thumbs up discoDSP Highlife now freeware!!!

    Hi everyone.

If you're on the KVR newsletter this'll be old news. If not, or you haven't heard of this thing read on.

Basically what this sampler does is allow you to load up another VSTi (Highlife functions as a host), and then automatically sample patches from the instrument. You can then apply your traditional subtractive synthesis techniques to further sculpt the sound, as well as being able to tweak the sampes indevidually, (though I think I'll most likely use Sound Forge for that).

Very useful both for saving CPU on those patches that consume half your clock cycles, yet make more or less a repeatable sound, but also as a sound design tool in its own right.

    I can't believe it's freeware now!

Hope you get some good use out of it as I'm sure I will.

    Have a good weekend :)

    Dan
