    Default Octave One

Just got the new CD/DVD album on Tresor and it's immense. Man you have to check the flanged hi-hats on the 2nd track hehe.. One word I should use is 'raw' for the whole album. I really love this in techno, when things don't focus too much on perfect production and all the distortion and overdrive is left in for all to hear. Is anyone else here into Octave One? Do you remember 'I Believe' on that classic Techno 2 comp?

i used to love octave one until blackwater, since then they've just bored me to tears, seemed like they were purposely trying to make "club" hits a la jaguar.

i heard a couple of their new tracks on youtube though and they sounded pretty good, more like their older stuff, so i've got high hopes for the new album.

    when's it out?

thats not right, octave one = random noise generation. most of the time at least. the two guys who did a rng gig here in october were the same guys doing the octave one set in february.

I think strictly speaking, RNG is 2 out of the of the burden brothers and octave one is 3 of em? I think, but yeah... is all the same thing really...
