im talkin about this one http://www.discogs.com/release/15340

isnt it one of the greatest electronic hymns of all times?! its one of those tunes dropped in the right moment making me cry like a little girl. as i wasnt in the age for parties when it was released i want to know from the grandpas here (i know there are a lot :)) what this track did with the dancefloors at its time and how people reacted on it.

Only being a youg fella like Mr Darkside I do rememeber this when it first appeared ( This being the original press ) but also the same as him I dont really remember it causing that big a stir at the time think people got more excited by those names working together than the actual record itself and it seems to have gathered pace as a classic with time.

nah it's a great track, i've always liked it but it probably wasn't heavy enough for alot of the djs/clubs i've followed.

it was a bit of a backroom anthem at orbit in the 90s but i can't really remember hearing it more than a handful of times in the main room and pretty much everyone played that place. fking legendary club.

never even seen that pressing Paul, first time i saw it was one of those plus 8 coloured vinyls. what's the other mix like?

i think it was just a cae of it being "another good tune" at the time but back then it was far too easy to walk into fat cat or e-bloc pretty much any day of the week and blow £100 in 20 minutes. :ohdear:

Funny, I just pulled this one back out yesterday. I think it gets more play and respect now than it did in the past, just like Hawtin's Concept series. The Concept series sort of "bombed" compared to the other Plus 8 stuff but eventually became classic stuff with time. It's just another story of an artist/writer/musician being slightly ahead of their time. This track definitely fits in with the Bookashades and Loco Dices of today compared to the popular dark sounds of the early '90s like the harder Plus 8 catalog, Drop Bass Network, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gets re-released in the next year.

    an incredible record!
