SHOUT OUT TO MY CREW THE DISLEXIC CREW,I CANT COUNT TO 4 IM A RAVER
get fl studio. it's easier at first. and offers loads of geeky possibilities later on.
if you insist on starting out with cubase i think just about any book/dvd
on the subject will provide some insight. if there is any SK video cubase tutorial dvd i'd prolly get that. their tutorials are good.
i could help you out with fl. not with cubase, though, sorry.
thanks for the help peeps :)

Get reason and learn that.
Then sync it into cubase, sample outputs from reason and arrange them in cubase.
Cubase is powerful but a pain in the arse to work with until you are very comfortable with it. Best use another tool to get creative with IMO
I love cubase but use it more to structure ideas than create them.
