    Default Tracktion over Cubase SX3

Im a bit sick of using Cubase for the past 5 years and have decided to try something new and refreshing. Someone has told me that Tracktion was quite good at what it does, and its straight to point, less cluttered, and sounds great.

Can anyone confirm this? I have read mixed reviews, but overall consensus is that its an amazing product for something so relatively cheap in comparison to other DAW sequencers.

I've been having a play with Traktion.

It's definitely very neat and intuitive.

However, I found the editing method a bit annoying.

Unless I was missing something funamental it seemed like you have to zoom in to the bit of the track you want to edit and then zoom back out again when you're done. I prefer the Cubase method of having a macro view in which you can double click to bring up an editor.

    techmouse,

aside it from being pretty neat, would it be worth to go from an industry standard like SX3 to Tracktion? I cant seem to get the bloody demo working for some reason. Pulling out my hair!
