    Thursday June 14th at Wax

Rory St. John - Live [Chrome-metronome.net]
    Aaron Costelloe
    Eoin Dunphy

    Admission 6 euro.

First up this week we welcome newcomer Eoin Dunphy. A regular on the EC dancefloor Eoin gave us a lovely mix a while back that we probably won’t take off the EC CD player until we record his set this Thursday. Next up is Aaron Costelloe who also came to our attention by giving us a awesome mix. Expect Aaron to take it up a notch from his good friend Eoin as he plays the middle slot. You can check out new mixes from Eoin & Arron on their myspaces pages: http://www.myspace.com/eoindunphy & http://www.myspace.com/aaroncostelloe. We are always looking for new people to play so if you think you have what it takes [which isn't a lot really] drop down a mix some week.

Finishing up we have Rory St. John with his first live set at the club. Despite a mysterious and practically useless for information website of www.chrome-metronome.net, the audio-led
http://www.myspace.com/rorystjohn will give you a taste of what Templar is all about. Rory has Djd for us before and we're super excited to have him make his live debut at Wax. Shuffling, melodic melodies hit hard with complex drum programming for a killer sound best summed up by the epic track 'break, more broken' so get down to check what we reckon will be the best set at EC from a double-barreler yet. A seriously talented producer. it should only be a matter of time before his very own Discogs page is up and running. Get down to check the talent this week as it will be our last local line up for nearly a month as we prepare to go radio rental with international guests over the coming weeks [full info below].

Belated congrats to Cathal Flynn for winning the Electric City Fantasy Football league this year. His Cellar Door FC rose and slid and eventually held on like Harold Lloyd on Big Ben to claim the title by a tiny 6 points from late charging Romper Stomper Andy Doyle and his 11 Angry, nay Demented, Men who won May's Manager of the Month gaining 60 points on the Cellar Doors. Coming in a close 3rd was Gary Morgan a further 6 points back and former manager of the month in what made for a La Liga-esue finish to the season. Well done Cathal - wear your crown proud for the next 12 months and know that the door of Electric City & Shock is open to you for free for the next 12 months until your title is taken away. It may be retained but no manger has managed to do that yet - it's harder to retain than it is to win. Let us know when you're dropping down and we'll throw a T-shirt into the equation too. Thanks for all the managers this year in what was one of the toughest leagues we've been in. Remember, form is temporary - class is permanent.
