Default Steve Rachmad - DJ Mag mix CD

Saw this on the shelf the other day, snapped it up, got it home, whacked it on the stereo... and it was in the bin half an hour later.
Pissy, weak uninteresting set. What the hell is this? Where is the Rachmad who produced mixes such as the "In the mix" CD:

That was a quality techno set. This is a weak, housey, trendy set.

    Such a disappointment...

Yep, I get DJ Mag every fortnight, and was excited to see this CD on the front. But like you, it was binned after one listen. Utter trash. Really gutted...

Not heard this --> http://www.discogs.com/release/17702 but looking at the track list, I think I'm going to have to hunt a copy down. :)

    Confusing reactions.
Seem to be all artists on the tracklist you've all loved so much like Joris Voorn and Jeroen Verheij.

But hey what would you expect from DJMag now. They don't give a shit about techno.
    OUT NOW:
    - Orlando Voorn & Juan Atkins "Game One (Ritzi Lee remix)" on Nightvision.
    - Cybernetics EP on Labrynth (Beatport release)

    OUT SOON:
    - Black Noiz on Labrynth (vinyl release)

not heard this yet but i know hes playing pretty much anything at the moment.

he was completely poundin it out at awakenings last year and his set at locked was hammering. (wish theyd of recorded that one!,he was awesome!)

then saw him a couple of months ago and he was playing minimal.

if hes doing a set for a magazine though its pretty much always going to be trendy stuff anyway

saw steve in barca the day before sonar. played a nice set. picked up this cd at the door, and was appauled to get it home, and not only find the sub standard minimal dribble as mentioned, but also that it had 2 second gaps between each track. homo

    Neo Classica rocks.
