we'l see i guess.said i while back i didnt want him,but eto'o wanted to stay at barca, henry wouldnt join us coz of loyalty,so he is the best player avalible on the market.so time will tell.
Apparantly Liverpool are gonna sign Heinze also?
torres has taken a pay cut and turned down other more lucrative offers to join us also, according to sky sports and benitez.good lad.
They sold Veron to Chelsea, must be an Argie thing! But yeah, 14 goals isn't too clever, though apparently it was £20m minus the £4.5m for Garcia, so not so bad. Da Silva scored 34 goals in 32 games last season, albeit in a weaker league. He's scored 7 in 12 for Croatia though including goals against Italy and England, plus he scoared against Arsenal at the Emirates... be nice to have a proper number 9 again!
Now that's what we need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net, we were clearly missing a proper finisher last season....
Agreed that it was an easier league he played in but surely that gives some indication of what the guy can do, time will tell......
Hopefully Van Persie amd him will stay injury free and shoot down the prem next season! :cheese:
insomnia - A dyssomnia characterized by persistent difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep or by persistently nonrestorative sleep.
it was different with Veron, as he found it difficult to settle in the Prem, although he was nowhere near as bad for United as some idiots would have you believe, on the other hand though Heinze is proven in the Premiership and would without doubt strengthen Liverpool's weak squad :;
wasn't it that Kenyon who made the Veron deal anyway? c**t!!
be interesting to see how Da Silva fares, could be a good partner to Van Persie...

hahaha,weak squad.
us and chelsea had the best squads in the prem last year,no doubt.
Yeah thats why when your reserves were called on towards the end of the season as you preped for the CL final you kept losing games.
Admittedly we faltered as our reserves had to play more games but nowhere near to the same degree.
Big squad or not - when your big players are missing there is no replacing them as Chelsea showed when they missed Terry, Joe Cole, Czech.

A good read about the Torres signing..
we had 2 players for every position last year,we had strong cover for every position.did you???? no.so therefore we had a better squad.
strong cover? not too sure about that, as kai stated Liverpool could hardly get a result in the Prem towards the end of the season when your second string players were called upon...

because we had a whole team of squad players playing, not just 2 or 3.who'd never played together as a team either.
Liverpool had crap right and left midfielders and crap forwards so not sure about the cover there.
gonzalez, pennant, bellamy, you could do much worse for cover im sure youd agree...........
