    Default Luke Slater

Dont care if hes gone down the old minimal road that everyones on thesedays....his old tracks are sick and still stand the test of time. Rooted out his double pack album '92'-94' the other day on peacefrog.......some of the best techno ever released.

Whats the craic with him thesedays? Is he making anything decent?

He's playing at Lost next week alongside Ruskin and Ho, was thinking of going but swerved it in favour of the bank holiday one instead.

    yeah "morganistic" is absolutely immense

i think he gets overlooked in a big way when it comes to his place in Techno to be honest, i genuinely think that electroclash cash in album he did harmed his reputation ALOT more than, thinking rationally, it should have. I mean, he's done some seminal, albeit life changing records in alot of peoples opinions, mine included, yet alot of people just cant get over that album he did, which to be fair, was pretty gash. I've never seen the Courtyard in Bugged Out clear as fast as it did when he played one of the dates on the tour for said album there, it was a strange moment indeed. On the flipside though ive seen him absolutely destroy the Courtyard and countless other dancefloors here in the UK, he is wikid when he is on form. Lovely chap to boot aswell, always been a nice guy when ive met him at parties and what not

loved "fear and loathing", thought no.2 was pretty awful, but yeah im longing for a new Luke Slater release that genuinely blows me socks off again

love PAS.. Booster & In From The Night/Day are still pretty fresh to me..

i did not like his electro singy tosh.. but thats jus me.. i'd rather artists moved than played the same blueprint for 15 years
