    Default getting expensive this

collecting oldschool trance.Alot of the tracks on my hitlist are between 20 and 30 quid.I spend my time dreaming of the trance tunes i want on discogs.

Suppose it's ok if thats all you collect, but i like my upfront techno too, so it's making big dents. I only get by with a college grant.

if i ever get a track through the door which has cost me over £20+, i treat it like a baby thats for fukin sure.

    any thoughts?

Is so so true. I eventually deleted most of my discogs wantlist as most that were left on were crazy priced!

I now have most of the rare gems that i wanted on mp3/cd from various albums, compilations etc etc. Now that i have cd decks as well, i am not that bothered if i dont have the actual vinyl. As long as i can play it that will do.

i tend to wait until a tune comes up on ebay, coz 9 times out of 10 you will get it cheaper than on discogs. for example matador - ritmo nacional is around 25 euros on discogs, and i got it for 1 euro on ebay. just gotta be lucky

just keep your eye on E-Bay & hopefully you will get it cheaper.

adds to the appeal of buying records.

About 3/4 years ago i paid £28 for S.H.O.K.K 'Folie A Deux.' and £22 for Megamind 'Sturm Und Drang.'

Its weird but they are actually well cheaper nowadays. Just really sought after at the time i bought them!

Deffo expensive though, and as you say that the costs us men are willing to pay.

i found that most of the 'bargain' deals were on ebay about 3 years ago. I seem to be be paying more and more for tunes nowadays but then i was picking up rare tunes for well under a tenner. Think more people look on ebay now so theres more competition. However im sure theres people out there that have them just collecting dust and have no idea how much they are worth!
    something for your mind.........
