its good ...but i thing iz better the 500s!
yeah these players are pretty good
it's a god idea to have them if u have the money
*u can check also cdj 1000 or cdj 800
The CDJ1000 are the daddy of all CD decks but like all things great they come at a price (about £750 ish) but once you use one you'll realise that they are as close to using vinyl as you can get you'll find the extra cash.

ive been waiting for someone eles to reply.
you know what i think about them mate.
It all depends on what you wanna do with it and how much you wanna spend.
CDJ 100 -
Advantages- Excelent little peice of equipment. 3 effects (jet, wah, zip)
you can use the ZIP effect to give the impresion that you've just pushed the Stop button like on the 1210. the other two effects should be pritty obvious to you.
Disadvantages- You cant set "CUE POINTS" on the tracks of a CD. (basicaly its like setting a starting point to mix from on each track. You can have something like 10 CUE POINTS per track. On the other CD decks they have a SCROLL button so that you can jump to verious CUE POINTS making it easyier then have to set each cue point again after the CD player has been switched off.
It doesnt have the Shock Memory (some have 16 seconds shcok memory)
It doesnt have a loop fucntion (this isnt important, but its a nice feature)
Its Worth the £250 asking price.
CDJ 500 -
There's no way on earth this is worth the £495 asking price.
It hasnt even got front loading.
Ok so it got loop function, but big deal!! you'd be better off with the 100.
CDJ 800 -
Virtualy the same price as the 500 @ £499, your better off with this as it has got loop function.
in my opinion if you've got £500 get the "CDJ 800"
if you dont wanna go that high get the "CDJ 100"
there is a big price differance there.
The CDJ 1000 doesnt jump what so ever, ive shook it and bounced it on my bed. Im assuming the 800 will be the same.
The 100 might jump a bit i dunno. you said it sounded like one of them where jumping on sharkeys set @ north.
get yourself to a shop that sells them and ask them if you can try them out, that is exactly what i did.
ill ask dava if he wants to sell his.
im fed up typing this now. dont even bother with Numark OR Denon
Pioneer are the Technics of CDJ's as far as im concerned.
hmm decisions decision.....
by the sounds of it the 800 is the best bet, but when your skint its a lot of money.
i could either by the 100 and think i should have saved up for the 800 or by the 800 and think.........beast!
hahahhahahah
exactly.
lend me £500 karl
lmfao
So far, I had em all except for the 800
The 100 is okay, it´s a basic player, has enough pitch, ain´t too big and not that expensive. Recommended if you have to go cheap.
I just sold my 500, and to be honest, I thought they were the weakest of the series. It tended to jump a little easier.
Now the 1000 is what you want to go for, if you´re serious about spinning with CDs. The first time I hooked em up, my thought was "wow, this is better than sex!" ...well it isn´t ;-) but it comes close! There is virtually nothing you can´t do with these babies. 24% Pitch, Instant reverse, Scratching and Hot Cueing functions, and you can backspin, scratch, rub and spin your tracks like a bat outta hell, and you will never bump into the needle - there is none :D If your fit with the hotcue buttons, you can even do semi-needlehopping. But the best thing is the CD will NEVER jump. I´ve used the cheapest of CDRs and I haven´t gotten en to jump just once yet. The CDJ-1000 is definately the best Machine out there and it really is capable of killing the vinyl and bringing DJs to the 21st century. The only major turnoff is the price. But it´s worth it - every penny
totaly agree with all that Amok, the 1000's a soo fukin mint. they are the daddys!
sometimes i look at it and thing Whaaaaaa that looks FAAAAT!
then i switch it on and its even better. id love another one, but i want a DJM600 next. :)
have you tried the 800s yet? I´d be interested to know if they handle the way the 1000 does.
By the Way Pioneer has a new Player out there that plays Mp3 CD´s. Doesn´t have the big Vinyl-like Jogwheel but you can spin for 24 hours with two CDs
well karl brought his cdj 1000 round yesterday and i have to say im in love!
i want one so bad but its a hell of a lot of money, i think il have to settle for the 100 instead
Hello.
I think that CD is a shit..i have CDJ100S and nobody wants to book me for party, that was before 3 years!
then i sell that, buy turntables, and now is situation different!
CDs are very practial and cool, no mistaques...but no thx...i like vinyl
greetz
yeah i agree with you mate vinyl is better, but if you make your own tunes or you have a tune you cant get on vinyl burn it to disc pop it in the cdj and away you go.............laffin! best of both worlds.
techno....no sound like this sound.....still a incomprehensible magical force the precision of the rhythms the repetition of the machine groove the basic tribalism of the beat.......there is no sound like this sound!
i hope you mean your in love with the 1000 and not me.??
what would Laurn say?
hahahaha
hahhahahahhaha dont flatter your self danger scouse :)
and lauren is spelt lauren..........:)
techno....no sound like this sound.....still a incomprehensible magical force the precision of the rhythms the repetition of the machine groove the basic tribalism of the beat.......there is no sound like this sound!
hahahahahah
I have heard nothing but good things of the 1000 player, but the price is almost double the price of Final Scratch...which if you already have a laptop that can run it...seems to be a better option. I'd take either or at this point.

Final Scratch has minor bugs and delays. You probably won´t notice much, if you´re not going into a scratching frenzy, but I just can´t see it challenging a CDJ-1000.
I just hope these babies make it into the clubs like the djm-600 has.
the 100's
yeah we got em in the dj setup but they suck...
I would go with final Scratch and just rip all the cd's you want to play. or the 1000's are nice. but hey if your going to spend a grand on those get a lapO and FS.
