    Default Windows apps on a mac running boot camp/parallels

    anyone try this out yet? how does it work? which programs run best? any probs? how muich worse is performance in parallels than running windows (xp or vista) via boot camp?

    With parallels i would estimate the performance drop is around 40%

    not good.

    but then.. ya cant have everything now can you!

    you gotta remember you are running two OS's simultaneously.

    as for bootcamp

    XP absolutely ROCKS on a macbook.. VERy VERy fast.

    a) have you tried vista via boot camp?

    b) with parallels, what types of programs seem to have the most drop off? i imagine cubase will not function well via parallels, but what about less intensive programs like fl studio?

    anyone know if firewire drivers were sorted in bootcamp/parallels/fusion?

    remember that being an issue that steered me away from the blue screen of death.
