what about these Fostex 0.4's?

they're fine but only go down to 60Hz, i'd personally go for the pm05's instead, or like techmouse said, get some hifi speakers instead, tannoy and wharfedale make some nice budget hifi speakers that will work well, just as long as you can wire them upto your hifi, just needs a + and - connection.

anyone know whether these are any good...

never been a fan of tannoy monitors, they colour the sound too much
