Not to say that people have to like dubstep (or buddy holly)... It can be pretty generic and predictable as can any 'genre', but i've heard tracks that have knocked me for six and its influenced some producers of aforementioned 'techno' which is where it gets exciting as its another route to explore.. new territory, ideas and production techniques to be applied to other stuff.
